The Department of Economics at the University of Winnipeg invites applications for one probationary tenure track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. Subject to budgetary approval, the expected start date is July 1, 2022, though some flexibility may be possible. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.


We invite applications from candidates with a research specialization in Macroeconomics. Candidates must hold a PhD in Economics or be close to completion. They must show evidence of high-quality research and the potential for effective teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active research program, teach Honours and Master’s level courses in Macroeconomics and related undergraduate courses in Economics, and provide service to the Department and University.

• a teaching dossier with course outlines and teaching evaluations, if applicable;
