POSITION SUMMARY

Sponsored Campaign Associates (SCAs) provide direction, strategic advice and support to a portfolio of companies and organizations participating in United Way workplace campaigns. In addition to supporting the United Way campaign, Sponsored Campaign Associates receive training in relationship building, emotional intelligence, creative and strategic thinking, and value-based leadership. If all requirements are met, you will receive the United Way Leadership Development Program Certificate through a partnership with the University of Manitoba.

 

This is a full-time, term opportunity with two different terms available each year. These are:

First term: August 5 – November 7, 2025

Second term: August 25 – November 28, 2025

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assigned to a Division-specific portfolio of workplace accounts and reporting to and working with a Partnership Development Manager, you will collaborate as an integral member of the Campaign team to:

  • Use your exceptional communication, motivation and team building skills to establish and maintain relationships with workplace volunteers
  • Create strategies and plans that maximize workplace campaign participation and giving
  • Train and support volunteer campaign committees and ambassadors
  • Equip workplace campaign teams with materials and supplies
  • Promote and coordinate agency speakers and visits as part of the workplace campaign
  • Deliver presentations to employee groups
  • Monitor, evaluate and report campaign progress in your assigned portfolio of accounts
  • Submit award requests, letters of thanks and final reports for each account in a timely manner
  • Support United Way’s campaign kickoff, report sessions and other campaign related events
  • Attend all appropriate campaign and staff events and meetings

 

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

You possess the following qualifications or an equivalent combination of education and related experience:         

 

You are an innovative, goal-oriented team player who is passionate about Winnipeg. A strong communicator, you are also a confident professional who is able to think on your feet. You are prepared to make a full-time commitment for the entire 14-week term and you meet the following:

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle for the duration of the assignment
  • A cell phone would be considered essential
  • Evening, early morning and/or weekend availability may be required
