In this new role, you will be responsible for building strategic partnerships to advance our mission and ensuring high-quality donor experiences.

We're looking for someone who others describe as optimistic, human-centric, a leader who inspires, and a team player who knows the work only happens when people work together. This role reports to the VP of Marketing and Communications. At United Way Winnipeg, diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the heart of our business practices and culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Cultivate partnerships and sponsorship opportunities with like-minded organizations that bring about mutually beneficial brand awareness and engagement.
  • Collaborate with our workplace partners and United Way colleagues across the country in fulfilling the workplace partners’ CSR goals, programs, and promotions.
  • Project manage creative projects that advance the brand experience, i.e. digital and video projects.
  • Lead a team of four passionate professionals.

What we'd like to see:

You have a minimum of 8+ years managing experiences and events, digital and live large-scale events, or intimate bespoken events for small groups.

  • You enjoy building relationships to enable seeking out new partners and sponsors.
  • You have a passion for people; you are a natural collaborator who can lead a passionate team in a fast-paced environment.
  • You can project manage multiple projects simultaneously and tackle challenges with enthusiasm.
  • You understand the value of our partners’ brands and have direct experience fulfilling sponsorship obligations.
  • You like figuring out how systems and processes can work better.
  • You're excited by diverse perspectives, ideas, and experiences.
  • You are well-spoken and offer excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • You work well with ambiguity, possess an intense curiosity, embrace technology, and frame questions to solve complex problems.
  • You have a track record of synthesizing information from competing perspectives, building consensus, and finding the way forward.
  • You are comfortable making big decisions.
