Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the successful candidate has responsibility for the overall direction and co-ordination of all branch operations and activities within clearly defined policies and procedures. Organizes and directs the daily activities of both the deposit and loan portfolios comprised of deposits, credit, commercial and agricultural lending, mortgages and investment products. Supervises all branch staff and manages employee performance, supporting their development through a variety of training/coaching opportunities. Markets services and products by implementing business plan objectives and works to maintain the Credit Union's image and profile in the community by supporting community organizations and attending community events. Evaluates the effectiveness of branch systems and initiates action to improve branch efficiency, maintains proper security procedures and interprets and initiates action to improve adherence to established credit union policies and procedures.
Personal qualities that involve management, coaching people and lending are most suited to this position. The Successful candidate will have strong skill sets in the lending area, particularly more complex agricultural and commercial credit.
