We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic person to join our Payroll team in the role of Payroll Administrator. The team processes payroll for 2,300 employees across Canada, USA, and International offices.
Reporting to the Manager, Payroll & Human Resource Systems, this individual is responsible for the preparation, balancing and finalizing of payroll across multiple jurisdictions, for salaried, hourly, union and non-union employees. The incumbent is also responsible for reconciling external and internal payroll accounts, year-end processing, filing of annual T4 and RL1 returns and administering Worker's Compensation payments.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years payroll experience, demonstrating experience with unionized work groups and multiple jurisdictions. Completion of the Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certificate is required. Previous experience working with ADP Pay@Work and Kronos Workforce Central are considered assets. Knowledge of financial reporting and experience with account reconciliations is preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This individual will also possess excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills and be a team player. Previous experience with U.S. payroll and fluency in French (verbal and written) are assets.
