As part of one of the largest HR teams in Winnipeg, you will be responsible for providing human resource consultation to the Agribusiness division of Richardson International.

The Role:

  • Provide guidance to and develop strategies with business unit managers regarding Labour Relations and Employee Relations;
  • Support Agribusiness location managers in union/labour relations activities including preventing/resolving grievances and negotiating collective agreements;
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies for management and difficult-to-fill positions (may include foreign worker recruitment) including campus recruitment, branding and strategy;
  • Educate managers on compensation administration to ensure appropriate compensation practices
  • Manage annual performance review process for Agribusiness division, coaching and training managers to ensure effectiveness as well as support the annual salary review and bonus process;
  • Manage disability management and return to work programs;
  • Track and analyze HR data to measure program effectiveness, determine trends, and make recommendations to address issues;
  • Develop, interpret and train managers on HR policies;
  • Coordinate succession planning process for Agribusiness division; and
  • Travel to work with management teams across Canada throughout the year.

You and Your Experience:

  • You have completed post secondary education in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field;
  • You have 7-10 years experience working in a generalist human resources capacity with experience in unionized environments;
  • You have a minimum of 3 years HR Management experience;
  • You have significant experience in collective bargaining and grievance resolution;
  • You are experienced with employee relations and disability management;
  • You are an experienced and confident HR Leader who can manage, motivate and empower a seasoned HR team;
  • Your organizational skills are superior and you are able to manage multiple projects at the same time;
  • You have an analytical mind and can think strategically to problem solve and implement solutions;
  • Your communication skills are highly developed along with your presentation skills;
  • You always make it a priority to keep abreast of current changes in human resources legislation and practice; and
  • Though not required, the following are considered assets; experience in grain or manufacturing industries, supporting numerous decentralized locations or experience with business units.
