Reporting to the Merchandising Manager, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of rail and truck movement of commodities within our Ontario region. Based in our Hamilton office, this position will negotiate freight with carriers and focus on the execution of purchase and sale contracts. The incumbent will interact with the head office and Eastern Regional commodity merchants, hedge desk and accountants to ensure our sales positions are current and products are moved in a timely manner. This position is also considered a pathway to broader opportunities and has room for advancement within Richardson’s merchandising group. 

Our ideal candidate could be a recent graduate from an agriculture, business or related post secondary degree or diploma program and/or someone with 2-5 years related experience. Key attributes include the ability to work as part of a team, strong planning and organizational skills, effective communication skills, analytical, excellent problem solving and decision-making skills, and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
