We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic person for the newly created position of Payroll Administrator. This is a part-time position to support payroll administration for more than 2,300 employees in Canada, USA, and International offices.
Reporting to the Manager, Payroll & Human Resource Systems, this individual is responsible for preparation, balancing and finalizing payroll for multiple jurisdictions, salaried and hourly employees, union and non-union employees. The incumbent is also responsible for payment of benefits, reconciliation of external and internal payroll accounts, year-end processing and balancing of T4/RL1 Summaries, filing of annual T4 and RL1 returns and provincial Worker's Compensation.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience working in a computerized union and non-unionized payroll environment, completion of CPA’s Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certificate and experience in account reconciliations. Previous experience working with ADP Pay@Work and Kronos Workforce Central is considered an asset. Attributes include the ability to work independently, meet multiple deadlines, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong team player. Fluency in French (written and oral) is also considered an asset.
This part-time position requires a regular 25 hours/week schedule with flexibility to work additional hours for vacation relief, year-end, and occasional project work.
