Manager of Continuous Improvement:


We are seeking a highly skilled Manager of Continuous Improvement. This role requires an outgoing, versatile and energetic individual who has a keen sense for safety, quality and urgency while thriving in a fast paced environment.


The Manager of Continuous Improvement will be responsible for implementing improvements to our facility that make operations safer, improve the quality of our products, improve our delivery performance, and drive out cost.


The Manager of Continuous Improvement will continuously focus on the elimination of waste and adding value for our customers by implementing Lean principles and concepts throughout the organization.



  • Steward the strategic direction via the HyLife Foods Road Map
  • Measure and document progress towards meeting objectives related to lean processes and programs
  • Utilize lean methods to close business performance gaps
  • Provide needed oversight and training in the area of Lean Enterprise Philosophy, tools and techniques and continuous improvement practices
  • Improve manufacturing safety, quality, delivery lead times and cost through the elimination of waste in the value stream
  • Facilitate kaizen events
  • Lead new product introductions working closely with production and planning
  • Lead corporate lean transformation initiatives
  • Initiate and manage capital equipment projects
  • Solve complicated problems using DMAIC methodology or similar problem solving methodology
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, provide leadership and guidance to maximize conformance to safety and quality standards
  • Responsible for supplier continuous improvement target setting and deliverables
  • Assist in supplier qualifications, maintenance of supplier performance records and perform vendor audits, where necessary
  • Addresses all team members in open communication forum


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Proven record of achievement while leading and facilitating the continuous improvement  processes at the highest level in the organization
  • Extensive knowledge and leadership in the principles and practice of Lean, Six sigma, 5S and / or other continuous improvement models, participated in related improvement projects
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of manufacturing operations, with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Toyota Production System and TQM
  • A consistent history of driving measurable results across the organization
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and across departments and the company to support organization strategies
  • Ability to teach others and communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
  • Experience working within the foods processing industry preferred
  • Experience with ISO 9001 / 14001, GMP and HACCP preferred




  • BS degree in Industrial or Process Engineering or equivalent related experience
  • 5-10 years of related experience in continuous improvement roles with extensive leadership responsibility
  • Must be versed in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent command of the English language, verbal and written
