Education: BS, MS, PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
Experience: Specifically sought are researchers focused on security and reliability of configurable embedded microelectronic devices, such as field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and complex programming logic devices (CPLDs). Suitable candidates will have the ability to work across software and hardware domains to model and analyze low-level device architectures and designs.
Skills: Desired qualifications and skills:
* Software development: Proven experience with software programming, such as C and C++. Extra consideration given for ability to independently architect large, complex, object-oriented code bases. Extra consideration given for experience with a scripting language, such as Python.
* Digital design: Knowledge of digital design and FPGA implementation flows and EDA toolsets, such as Xilinx ISE/Vivado and Altera Quartus. Experience with hardware description language, such as Verilog, SystemVerilog, Bluespec SystemVerilog, or VHDL. Extra consideration for knowledge of device architectures or intermediate/back-end EDA tools and data formats, such as FPGA Editor, Xilinx Description Language (XDL), or Altera QUIP Toolkit.
* Extra consideration given for 3+ years of experience.
