The Northbridge Trainee Program is a paid seven-month intensive program that combines classroom learning and on-the-job training in preparation for a professional career in the insurance industry. The Trainee Program is geared towards new or recent university graduates who are curious to learn and passionate about making a difference in the insurance industry. No prior knowledge of or experience with insurance is required.
The seven-month training takes place at our head office in downtown Toronto and the permanent placement will be located in Toronto.
Northbridge supports trainees in completing 6 out of the 10 courses required to reach your Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation by covering the costs of the course, providing tutoring services, and setting aside time for you to study and prepare for your exams during the work day.
Trainees will have the opportunity to learn about Underwriting and Claims, and upon successful completion of the program, will be offered a permanent placement with Northbridge in the Underwriting or Claims teams.
Upon successful completion of the program, trainees will have potential opportunities to specialize in the following teams:

Auto Property Damage & Cargo
Accident & Benefits
Health, Education & Social Services
Mid Markets Underwriting Support
Manufacturing & Resources
Consumer & Business Services
Construction & Contracting
Transportation & Logistics
