The Social Media Specialist (SMS) is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and customer care strategies through the use of various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. The SMS will also maintain Arne’s public image on the internet through social media, reach out to current/potential customer base to engage new potential dealers.


  • Create and update Arne’s website including news stories and image updates
  • Conduct Search Engine Optimization (SEO) including updating of Arne’s page titles, meta descriptions, H1 text
  • Create and manage Arne’s social media presence including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Monitor and respond to complains/criticisms from customers that are posted on social media
  • Work with Director of New Business Development to engage new potential dealers
  • Develop marketing material including brochures, direct mail, print and online ads and in-branch TV screen advertising
  • Assist in the creation of targeted marketing campaigns
  • Develop of print and online advertising using creative vendors
  • Schedule and organize tradeshows, customer appreciation events, open houses and charity events


  • Post-Secondary education in marketing, communications or a related field preferred
  • Experience with content management systems, social media monitoring, email marketing and digital analytic tools
  • Experience with web design best practices and understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and how to drive organic traffic
  • Understanding of layout and design concepts and the ability to direct creative vendors effectively
  • Experience planning and overseeing events preferred
  • Independent worker who enjoys owning projects and seeing them through to the end
  • Team oriented with the ability to effectively communicate in cross functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, writing, and editing skills
  • Web design basics such as HTML and CSS
  • Familiar with using any Customer Relationship Management System (CRM)
  • Graphic design capabilities with Adobe Creative Suite or similar an asset
