We are looking for a CAD/CAM Technician to join our Manufacturing Engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with manufacturing engineers and production to develop and optimize CNC programs that transform design concepts into precise, high-quality parts and assemblies for ambulances and specialty vehicles. Your expertise will help ensure efficient, safe, and reliable production that meets our exacting standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As the CAD/CAM Techncian you will:

  • Develop, modify, and maintain CNC programs and press brake operations to support manufacturing activities
  • Ensure that all programs and processes align with engineering specifications and production requirements
  • Work closely with machinists, operators, engineers, and production teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance
  • Provide technical guidance on manufacturing capabilities, processes, and best practices
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and safety within the manufacturing environment
  • Lead or contribute to initiatives for developing tools, jigs, fixtures, and process enhancements
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation for programs, processes, and work instructions
  • Support the development and implementation of manufacturing standards and ensure compliance with company policies



QUALIFICATIONS

As the CAD/CAM Technician you will bring:

Education & Experience

  • Engineering Technology Diploma or Engineering Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a CAD/CAM Technician required, working with milling, CNC router, and press brake machines an asset
  • Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming asset
  • Experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines asset
  • Knowledge of jigs and fixture design required
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, including Autodesk Inventor, nesting, and brake programming tools or similar programs required
