POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting in the planning, designing, developing and launching efficient business, financial and operational systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop business requirements and specifications for changes and enhancements to enterprise business systems or products.
  • Manage change requests and testing requirements during implementation, acceptance, installation and deployment of solutions.
  • Support the prioritization and management of IT requests and projects.
  • Define and communicate project milestones and resource allocation to the leadership team, department leads, support staff and end users.
  • Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of IT requirements and recommend solutions that enable the specific functional organization to achieve its goals.
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s department heads, end users and IT staff regarding pertinent IT activities.
  • Develop solutions for business problems through detailed business analysis, cost benefit analysis, and feasibility studies.
  • Prepare clear, concise reports/presentations outlining findings and recommendations.
  • Eliciting requirements from Business Clients though the use of interviews, workshops, business process analysis, business scenarios and use cases.

Qualifications:

Formal Education & Experience:

  • Degree in Business, Computer Science of Information Systems.
  • Minimum 4 years Business Analyst of System Analyst experience.
  • Ability to comprehend and translate business process requirements into functional IT requirements.
  • Experience in Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Broad knowledge of retail process and practices
  • Knowledge of Cognos reporting tool and working knowledge of SharePoint technologies would be considered assets.
