Description:

Reporting to the PLW Manager this position is responsible for supervising staff engaged in the activities of the PLW department.  The PLW supervisor will provide support in planning, scheduling and providing technical solutions to ensure that both internal / external customer production requirements are met.

Based in Portage La Prairie the PLW Supervisor will be accountable for the general operation and efficiencies of the industrial packaging, and warehousing operations.  They will be able to identify, research, and resolve moderately complicated issues within the operation and its personnel.  Provide production scheduling support in the absence of the PLW manager for the production of oat ingredients for packaging and sale to end use customers.  Identify and lead small capital projects within the department.  Collaborate with peers inside and outside the facility and represents Richardson Milling in a professional manner.

The successful candidate should possess a related degree with a minimum of three to five (3-5) years of management experience in a food manufacturing facility or equivalent with a proven leadership record.

The PLW Supervisor must possess strong leadership skills, good presentation skills and be computer competent in Microsoft office. Requirements include the proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of peers, subordinates, internal resources, vendors, and suppliers The PLW supervisor must be able to coach, lead, and develop staff in order to achieve desired organizational results, and demonstrates excellent oral, written and listening communication skills.
